Two of the Russian Defence Ministry's carrying evacuees from Afghanistan landed at the Chkalovsky airfield in the Moscow region on Wednesday evening.
"The passengers are currently undergoing customs and anticovid controls," the Defence ministry's press service said.
The evacuation of more than 380 citizens of Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Afghan students studying at Russian universities was organised by Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu on President Vladimir Putin's order.
The Defence Ministry also reported that all three aircraft have medical and nursing teams of military medics on board. A sufficient supply of drinking water, blankets and individual food rations has been formed for the evacuees.
Over 200 citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Afghanistan and CSTO countries (Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia) were evacuated from Afghanistan by military plane on November 18.
