Streets were set on fire in East Jerusalem on Monday, following clashes between Palestinians and Israeli police earlier during the day.
Several people were seen arrested, with an Israeli flag spotted burning.
Earlier during the day, thirteen officers and some 300 protesters were injured in clashes near the al-Aqsa mosque, according to media reports. The clashes coincided with the planned Israeli celebrations of Jerusalem Day in the Old City marking the annual anniversary of the Israeli state taking parts of the city in 1967. Tensions in the area between the two sides have been high in recent days, fuelled by the possible eviction of Palestinian families from East Jerusalem's Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood.
