"More than 1,500 people have been tested positive," said German government spokesperson, Ulrike Demmer, as authorities move to contain the spread from reaching the public.
Spokesperson for Foreign Ministry, Christofer Burger, called the 'New START' extension a priority, encouraging talks between USA and Russia to resume before the nuclear arms reduction treaty is set to expire in February of next year.
Burger added that the talks should also include China and "take other Russian nuclear weapons into account. Therefore, we support our American partner in its effort.''
Demmer said the German government's "explicit goal" is to achieve a deescalation and a ceasefire in Libya, following the ousting of Libyan National Army (LNA) led by Khalifa Haftar from several areas, including the Greater Tripoli Region and the "last major stronghold" of the LNA in Tarhuna. Tripoli is now under control of the GNA, Libya's internationally recognised Government of National Accord, since June 5, following a 14-month-long offensive by Haftar.
