"We are immediately able to work, we want to develop a vision so that we will be able to form a coalition in 2025 or to be able to participate in coalition talks, this is our goal.," Chrupalla said following the vote.

The AfD received 10.3 percent of votes in the German federal elections last week, down 2.3 percentage points from 2017.
