Supporters of Kyle Rittenhouse, who is awaiting the jury’s verdict on murder charges and those who oppose him were outside the Kenosha courthouse on Tuesday to make their voices heard.

Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the Missouri couple who waved their guns at protesters last year in the wake of George Floyd’s killing, came to show their support for Rittenhouse. The McCloskey’s themselves were charged with a misdemeanour charge for that incident.

Protesters could be seen having an exchange with Mark McCloskey outside the courthouse. “Y'all wanna hear these people talk, for what? they pointed guns at people too they were arrested they went, they're going to trial and y'all wanna support this. This is what is destroying America,” one protester said.

Eighteen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse is accused of shooting three men during protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, following the police shooting of Jacob Blake, who was left paralysed.

The three victims were Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum, who were killed, and Gaige Grosskreutz, who was seriously wounded.
