"My daughter was an amazing, energetic, powerful woman and I miss her every day, and I'm here because Americans do have the right to protest, it's your right as an American citizen to protest," said rioter Ashli Babbitt's mother Micki Witthoeft.

A collection of Donald Trump supporters stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021, as Congress met in the wake of Joe Biden's election victory.

Five were killed as a result of violence that ensued following the storming.
