Description

Protesters took to the streets of Kabul on Friday in support of Palestine and to condemn Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.

Demonstrators were seen burning the flags of Israel and the US and then stepping on them. They were also raising the flag of Palestine as well as posters of the al-Aqsa mosque.

"If a Palestinian child is bleeding, it means that an Afghani child is bleeding. The Palestinian people are not alone, and they should not feel alone. As the Afghani people are poor, they will stand with Palestinians," said Mufti Abdul Ghafor, a protester.

"I want to convey my message to the world and to the Israeli government: we stand with any Muslims around the globe," demonstrator Zia Rahman said.

A ceasefire was announced on Friday between Hamas and the Israeli army, after 11 continuous days of hostilities, which took the lives of over 240 Palestinians and 12 Israelis, according to the respective authorities.
