Tehran is seeking to develop nuclear energy only for 'peaceful purposes,' Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said during the 44th anniversary of the 1978 uprising of the people of Tabriz on Thursday.
Referring to the country's nuclear energy activities, the Iranian supreme leader said, "We do not seek a nuclear weapon. We seek the peaceful use of nuclear energy."
