At least 15 people were killed and 16 received injuries amid two reported Israeli airstrikes in the Mazzeh district and Qudsaya countryside area of Damascus on Thursday.
Footage shows firefighters putting out blaze while Syrian Red Crescent employees were seen transporting the victim's body with locals gathering on site.
"According to what I've heard from neighbours and rescuers, my daughter-in-law passed away, and so did her children Jawad and Yazan. However, I don't know anything about the fate of my second son's children," shared Nabil Al-Azaat, a local.
The Israeli army on its official Telegram account announced the airstrikes were carried out against 'terrorist infrastructure sites and command centres of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group in Syria,' adding the work will continue 'whenever necessary'.
Israel has carried out a series of airstrikes on different parts of Syria since early November, according to Damascus, with the majority of the assaults concentrating in the capital and its countryside, Homs province, and routes that connect the Syrian and Lebanese borders.
Israel claimed responsibility for some of the airstrikes while remaining silent about others.
