Russia’s Defence Ministry announced on Monday that servicemen from the Russian Eastern military district and the Lao People's Army conducted their first joint training in the Primorsky region as part of the Laros-2024 exercises.
Footage shows troops practising tactical manoeuvres in populated areas, including mock mopping-up operations and changing their deployment as part of an armoured convoy. The video also features teams studying advance routes and terrain features on maps.
The ministry noted that during the training, military personnel "practised communication between units and established common control and interaction signals for both sides."
The Laros-2024 joint military exercise is scheduled from September 18 to 26, with over 20 training sites set up for various operations, led by experienced instructors. Participants will practise negotiating with terrorists, evacuating civilians, clearing populated areas, and engaging illegal armed groups.
The date and location of the footage released by the Russian Defence Ministry have not been independently verified.
