Tbilisi residents head to polling stations to cast their ballots in country's parliamentary elections that kicked off on Saturday.
Footage shows citizens going through the registration procedure and receiving forms before scanning their completed ballots using an electronic ballot box.
On the same day, the country's President Salome Zurabishvili visited a polling station and said she cast her vote 'for a new Georgia'.
"I voted for that Georgia for which all our ancestors prayed. I am sure all of Georgia is praying for this Georgia. Tonight we will be winners, no one will be losers," Zurabishvili added.
According to the country's Central Election Commission, 150 MPs are to be elected. A total of 18 parties are currently registered, including the ruling party Georgian Dream.
In total, about 3.5 million Georgian citizens will reportedly be able to participate in the elections. 3,044 polling stations are open throughout the country, and 67 more are functioning abroad.
