Stunning views of Baku’s landmarks were captured by a drone ahead of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

Footage taken on October 23 shows the streets of the Old City, the historical core of Baku, the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Centre and the fountain named after poet Aliaga Vahid near the walls of the Icheri Sheher fortress.

The annual UN climate conference is set to take place from November 11-22, expecting over 80,000 guests, including heads of state and government from more than 50 countries.

COP29 participants will discuss the scientific, technical and political aspects of climate change, as well as the reduction of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
