Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Alexander Moiseyev praised the work of the 25th division of the Pacific Fleet's strategic nuclear-powered submarine cruisers at the bestowing ceremony of the Order of Nakhimov for outstanding military services.
Footage released by the Russian Defence Ministry on Thursday shows the crew on top of submarines before gathering together and listening to Moiseyev's speech.
"I would like to praise each and every submarine crew member of the 25th division. For more than 50 years, you have been employing the most sophisticated systems that humanity has ever invented. These are nuclear-powered submarine cruisers, armed with the deadliest and most powerful weapons," the commander-in-chief stated.
Moiseyev added that nuclear submarines are equipped with weapons of high technical reliability.
"I cannot but confirm the assessment on the level of accomplishment of the tasks that I assigned to this unit.The highest level of readiness, for sure," he said.
The Defence Ministry's press service reported that the 25th Division of the Pacific Fleet's nuclear-powered strategic submarine missile cruisers had been awarded the Order of Nakhimov "for services in strengthening the country's defence capability, high performance in combat training, courage and selflessness shown by the personnel during combat training and special tasks."
