Description

A Russian Su-57 fighter jet showcased its flight capabilities at ‘Airshow China 2024’ in Zhuhai on Tuesday.

Footage shows the aircraft executing aerobatic manoeuvres in the sky before landing on a runway.

Vadim Badekha, CEO of United Aircraft Corporation PJSC, stated that the Su-57 is one of the finest fifth-generation aircraft and is actively utilised by the Russian Air and Space Forces.

“Today, literally a few hours have passed since the opening, and we see an endless stream of people, customers, and representatives of the armed forces of foreign countries. Everyone is admiring this aircraft, it is obvious that everyone has been waiting for it,” Badekha said.

He also highlighted that, based on the Russian Air Force's operational experience, designers are actively making updates and incorporating elements of sixth-generation technology into the aircraft.

The 15th China International Aerospace Exhibition is taking place from November 12 to 17, with the support of the Chinese government, state agencies, and corporations. The Russian display at the air show is one of the largest, featuring over 50 defence industry enterprises showcasing their products.
