Russian Investigative Committee officers inspected weapons at the scene of a shooting at the Crocus City Hall near Moscow on Saturday.

The footage shows experts collecting bullets and shell casings and recording the aftermath of the shooting.

According to media reports, on Friday evening unidentified individuals dressed in military fatigues opened fire in the Crocus City Hall, where a Russian rock band was to perform. After that, a massive fire broke out in the building.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation put the death toll at 60. Health Minister Mikhail Murashko also reported that 115 people had been hospitalized, 61 in serious condition.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry reported that the main efforts of fire and rescue units were aimed at the search and rescue of people, the fire's been localized.

"Firefighters helped about 100 people out of the building’s basement. Work is being carried out to rescue people from the roof of the building with the help of lifting equipment," the statement read.

The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ('Terrorism').

According to the UN press office, organisation's Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned the terrorist attack at the concert hall 'in the strongest possible terms.'

"The Secretary-General conveys his deep condolences to the bereaved families and the people and the Government of the Russian Federation," UN Chief’s Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq said, adding: "He wishes those injured a speedy recovery."

A number of countries, including the United States, Belarus and Turkey, have also expressed condolences over the deadly shooting in the Moscow region.

Crocus City Hall is a multipurpose two-level concert hall located in the 3rd pavilion of the Crocus Expo in Krasnogorsk. It is Russia's only venue that can accommodate over 6,000 people and is equipped with modern facilities to host a variety of events.
