The Kazakh Foreign Ministry announced that the 22nd International Meeting on Syria would take place in Astana on November 11-12, including bilateral and trilateral consultations, a plenary session, and a press conference. The discussions, attended by 11 delegations, will address Syria's restoration and development, the release of hostages and return of refugees, among other issues.
The Astana Process, initiated in January 2017, is a series of negotiations aimed at finding a comprehensive peaceful resolution to the armed conflict in Syria ongoing since 2011.
