Moscow Zoo's giant panda cub Katyusha was seen playing with a new froggy toy.

Footage released on Sunday shows the cub inspecting her new gift and giving it a nibble. Later in the video, her eyes light up as she spots her favourite bamboo snack.

Katyusha, born in August of last year, was named after a popular Russian folk song, via a public vote on Moscow City's online portal.

Her parents, Ding Ding and Ruyi, were brought to Russia from Beijing in 2019. They live in the 'Chinese Fauna' pavilion at Moscow Zoo, which was inaugurated by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Giant pandas native to China, while Ding Ding and Ruyi are part of a global conservation programme aimed at preserving and breeding this rare species.
