Description

A burning lorry was seen driving away from a building supplies warehouse which caught fire in Ussuriysk, in Russia’s far eastern Primorsky region, on Wednesday.

Footage also shows the firefighters extinguishing the blaze.

The local prosecutor's office reported that the "driver of the lorry stated that he heard a rumbling noise in the trailer while unloading the vehicle".

"He was informed that something had caught fire in it, after which he started to drive the vehicle further away from the buildings. The vehicle was transporting spray foam," it added.

Meanwhile, the Russian Emergencies Ministry (EMERCOM) said that about 100 specialists and 26 units of equipment, as well as two fire trains were deployed to extinguish the fire.

"Extinguishing is complicated by the high fire load of burning warehouses as there are paint and varnish products as well as gas cylinders stored inside them," the EMERCOM’s statement read.

The department added that preliminary reports showed that there were no casualties. At the time of publication, the fire was contained.
