A wild bear cub was spotted by passing motorists as it took a walk along a motorway in the Irkutsk region.
Footage taken on Saturday shows the animal taking food from one man, before trying to remove his shoes and beg for more treats.
The department for the protection and use of wildlife in the Irkutsk Region reported that departmental and police officers went to the site and scared the animal away from the dangers of the road. It later returned to its natural habitat.
"Bears are very sensitive, they can smell odours from several kilometres away and approach residential areas in search of prey. <...> They easily get used to and remember the places where they are fed. The bear gets cheeky and starts begging," the statement siad.
Meanwhile, the department warned that bears 'can become more aggressive and demanding at any moment' and called for vigilance.
