Footage shows one of the joeys inside a shopping bag, after three were reported missing from zoos in the cities of Yaroslavl and Kaluga.
Yaroslavl Zoo veterinarians are then seen examining the youngster, and the joey eating hay in the enclosure.
Russian Interior Ministry spokesperson Irina Volk reported on Thursday that a second stolen kangaroo was found in Korolyov in Moscow region, while the third joey had sadly died.
The Russian Investigative Committee opened criminal cases into the thefts.
