During his trip, Al Nahyan is set to hold talks with President Vladimir Putin. The leaders are expected to discuss the prospects for the development of Russia-UAE co-operation as well as topical international issues, including the situations in the Middle East and North Africa.
The 16th BRICS Summit is scheduled for October 22-24 in Kazan. Leaders from more than 24 countries are expected to attend, with Russia's closest neighbours and partners in the Eurasian Economic Union and Commonwealth of Independent States also invited. Russia has chaired BRICS since January 1, 2024.
