Description

Hundreds of visitors flocked to a park in St. Petersburg in northwestern Russia to take part in the 'Legko Fest' kite festival held on the shores of the Gulf of Finland on Saturday.

Footage features festival participants flying kites of various shapes and sizes.

"We have our own kite 'fleet', there are large and standard-size kites. We have a 20-metre octopus, a 6-metre fish, bears, geckos and many more that we fly in the sky all day long and make a wonderful sight for everyone," said the festival co-organiser, Olga Dorogina.

She added that the main idea of the event is to give people a chance to feel like children again.

The organisers also prepared concerts and various workshops for visitors. The 'Legko Fest' kite festival has been held across Russia since 2012
