The presidents of Russia and the United Arab Emirates, Vladimir Putin and Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, visited the Evgeny Primakov School in the Moscow region on Monday.
Footage shows the two leaders, accompanied by Moscow region Governor Andrei Vorobyov, Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov and the school's director Maia Maisuradze, walking through the facility.
Kravtsov told the leaders about the joint work between Russian and UAE universities and colleges.
"We have 75 agreements between our universities and colleges. Five centres for the study of Russian and Arabic have been established. About four thousand students are studying Arabic, and interest in the Arabic language and culture is growing every year," the education minister outlined.
For his part, UAE Ambassador to Russia Mohammed Al Jaber noted that such initiatives in the field of education "reflect the depth and strength of relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Russian Federation".
The presidents also visited the classrooms and were greeted by the children in Arabic.
