The media had first glimpse of the spectacular show in store this week ahead of the 16th Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival in Moscow on Wednesday.
Footage shows Russian and international servicemen performing in national costume in the heart of the capital, Red Square. The show will open the festival on August 23.
The event began with a performance by the Presidential Orchestra and the Special Guard of the Moscow Kremlin Commandant Service. Seventeen groups from Belarus, Thailand, Turkey, Egypt, Venezuela and South Africa performed, with the women's orchestra from Guinea putting on their first-ever show at the event.
The main theme this year is the Great Patriotic War (World War II), with artistic groups reflecting the history and heroism in their performances.
Spasskaya Tower has been held in Moscow every year since 2006. The festival traditionally features military bands from Russia and abroad, honour guards and cultural groups.
