The meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council was held on Wednesday, May 8, during which the heads of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia - reviewed the results of 2023 and exchanged views on potential areas for further co-operation.

The Victory Day Parade is a traditional event held on May 9 across Russia, with the main celebration taking place in Moscow’s Red Square. The day commemorates the end of World War II and the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany. Celebrations extend beyond Russia to many other countries around the world that also observe the day in honour of the sacrifices made during the war.
