According to the city administration, almost 2,000 servicemen and over 50 units of military hardware, including T-34 tank, Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers and Iskander ballistic missile systems, took part in the procession.
"The infantry units were divided into 22 columns, each representing a different branch of the army or department. Among them were more than a thousand Russian army soldiers, including the Aerospace Forces, a motorised rifle regiment, railway troops, units of the NBC Protection Troops and electronic warfare," the statement read.
Victory Day parades are held on May 9 across Russia, with the main celebrations taking place in Moscow’s Red Square, and the day is observed in many countries around the world.
