Description

The Corgi Rescue Squad and their owners gathered for the 'Corgi New Year tree 2024' event at Shchyolkovo’s Grebnevo estate, Moscow region, on Sunday.

Footage features dogs in festive costumes participating in a race and running an obstacle course.

"Everyone is happy. I look at the faces, I don't see any negative expressions, so this is how it is. I talk with people, many are thankful even for coming here. They came from Belgorod, they came from Voronezh, Tver, and the Moscow region, as well as Moscow, of course, as always," said Larisa Korzh, the event organiser.

She also pointed out that around 150 corgis showed up at the party this year.

"We hold events often. Our first event was in 2019. Every year we hold small events in different formats. There are regular participants who are always with us right from the very first events," the woman added.

According to Korzh, the main idea of such gatherings is to make friends and socialise.

The Corgi Rescue Squad was formed in 2020. Dogs assist the agency's staff in finding drugs and explosives, searching for victims in accidents as well as providing emotional relief to members of the rescue team.
