During the conference, Motsepe ordered a 'careful report' into the events that led to the deadly incident.
"I've been given lots of feedback and had lots of discussions until very early this morning, and the first thing that I'm going to ask the organising committees: the next match that's supposed to take place at Olembe should not take place," said Motsepe.
The stampede occurred as 50,000 attempted to enter the stadium ahead of a football game between Cameroon and Comoros.
