Description

As many as 150 families were seen living in rough conditions at Kafr Nasih camp in Aleppo province on Monday, after a storm erupted the day before with strong winds uprooting their tents, leaving them in a critical situation.

Footage shows residents rebuilding the fallen tents and sweeping the muddy roads after the storm. Children attended their daily courses inside a tent, browsing through books and sitting on blankets.

“We all hope for a solution, whether political or military one so that we could return to our country and live as before residing in our country. The support and funding here is gravely weak, despite that we spoke out with numerous organizations in the countryside of Aleppo, as well as the media, yet nothing changed,” the delegate of the camp, Jumaa Al-Alaiwi said.

After being displaced to more than five different places according to the delegate of the camp, the refugees depend on a monthly package provided by organisations which they say is only enough for a few days. The refugees have called for organisations to provide them with the necessary means of subsistence in terms of aid, water and restoration of tents and roads.
