Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris claimed that her rival Donald Trump had 'no actual plan' for the country - and also said they owed it to voters to hold another debate - during a campaign rally in North Carolina on Thursday.

"[Trump's debate performance] was the same old show. Same old, tired playbook we've heard for years. With no plan for how he would address the needs of the American people. Well, folks, look, it's time to turn the page," she claimed.

"He has quote, concepts of a plan, concepts of a plan. I mean we're 54 days from the election, concepts of the plan, which means no actual plan," she added.

Trump and Harris faced off on Tuesday night, where both claimed victory. The former president ruled out a re-match, saying Harris only wanted one because he had 'clearly' won.

"I believe we ought to have another debate. We owe it to the voters. Because here's the thing. In this election. What's at stake could not be more important," Harris said.

It was Trump's second debate, after facing Joe Biden earlier this year. Following Biden's own much-criticised performance - and a number of other high profile gaffes - he quit the race and endorsed Harris.

Trump claimed the move was a 'coup' against Biden. The election takes place on November 5.
