Description

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, US Vice President Kamala Harris and Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese were seen arriving in Bangkok on Thursday, ahead of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders’ summit on November 18-19.

Footage shows Thai officials welcoming Salman, Harris and Albanese, as the three disembarked from their respective aircraft.

Saudi Arabia is one of three invited guests at the 21-member summit, along with Cambodia’s Hun Sen and France’s Emmanuel Macron. The visit to Thailand also marks the first by the Saudi Arabian leadership in three decades, according to the Arab state's press office.

Harris is stepping in for President Joe Biden, who is attending his granddaughter’s wedding. The US is set to host the 2023 APEC meeting.

Over the two days, leaders are expected to focus on economic growth, post-pandemic tourism and the green agenda.
