    Four buses carrying members of the National Guard could be seen arriving next to US Capitol in Washington DC on Tuesday ahead of Joe Biden's inauguration.

    The troops marched into a restricted area in formation, some with riot gear, shields and helmets.

    25,000 guardsmen were set to be deployed to DC ahead of the inauguration in the wake of the storming of the US Capitol by supporters of outgoing president Donald Trump.
