٠٠:٠٢:١٩Protesters gathered in London on Thursday to rally in solidarity with Lebanon and Palestine, urging Prime Minister Keir Starmer to halt all arms sales to Israel - after his government took steps to suspend around one third of deals earlier this month.
Footage shows demonstrators carrying flags and placards reading 'Stop arming Israel' and 'Starmer has blood on his hands'.
"As a former human rights lawyer, he (Starmer) has lost any shred humanity. Because the reality is that if United States, Britain, Germany and France altered their arms sales to Israel today, in three days time, the slaughter would cease, because there would be no bombs, there would be no missiles, there would be no aircraft…" said one.
"Instead, what do we hear from him? We hear about sausages," he added.
Earlier, Starmer's speech to Labour Party conference went viral when he accidentally said 'sausages' instead of 'hostages'.
At the start of the month, Foreign Secretary David Lammy announced that the UK would halt 30 of 350 export licenses to Israel, claiming there was a 'clear risk' that it could be used to commit serious violations of international law. Israel claimed it sent the 'wrong message'.
