Description

Plenty of fans gathered outside the Paul Biya stadium in the Cameroonian capital of Yaounde, for the start of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2022, where Cameroon beat Burkina Faso 2-1 Sunday afternoon.

Football fans walked around the stadium, before undertaking strict COVID-19 measures to be allowed inside.

The game was won by Cameroon, with help of two penalties from main striker Vincent Aboubakar.

Cameroon has not lost a game played on their home turf since 1973. This year's tournament is the first Cup of Nations to be held in Cameroon for 50 years.
