IOC spokesperson Mark Adams dismissed doping allegations against a Russian athlete as 'complete speculation' during a press conference in Beijing on Thursday.

"I think that's complete speculation but in a general point what I would remind is that the IOC delegated both testing, management and sanctioning in doping cases to ITA to avoid even the appearance of conflict of interest. I won't be having anything more to say on that," Adams said.

15-year-old Russian athlete Kamila Valieva, who on Monday became the first ice skater to successfully complete a quadruple jump at the Olympic Games, has not appeared in training since her performance following doping allegations.

The medal ceremony, which was scheduled for Tuesday evening, was subsequently postponed.
