US military aircraft can be seen flying close to the Great Pyramid of Giza while the Airborne Warning And Control System (AWACS), a mobile, long-range radar surveillance and control centre for air defence, was filmed at Riyadh airport.
Footage also features servicemen maintaining military equipment as well as ammunition and weapons being stored inside depots in various locations.
US military personnel can also be seen participating in Urgent Fury operation on Grenada in 1983, some 100 miles (160.9 km) north of Venezuela. Footage features servicemen landing, marching, patrolling residential areas and fighting during the military intervention. The operation resulted in military occupation of the island within a few days.
While no official information as to the exact number of US bases abroad has been released, according to estimates, including by David Vine, professor of political anthropology at the American University in Washington DC, the United States had around 750 bases in at least 80 countries as of July 2021.
