Egyptian national football team coach, Carlos Queiroz, and team captain, Mo Salah, gave a press conference in Yaounde after their 2-1 victory against Morocco in the quarter finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Football star Salah noted that the tournament had been “tough for everyone”, with strong teams such as Algeria and Nigeria having lost earlier on.

“You never know in any game, so now it’s time to focus [on] Cameroon,” Salah stated.

“Our best player is the team, but we have [a] fantastic spirit. Every single player plays for the team and the team play[ed] for every single player,” commented Queiroz

“As you saw during the game, all over the place, we have players working together, fighting together, suffering together, [standing] up together, playing brilliant football and creating opportunities together,” added Queiroz.

Egypt is set to play against tournament-host, Cameroon, in the semi-finals on Thursday.
