Description

Crowds of anti-vaccination demonstrators held a ‘Convoy to Canberra’ rally to Canberra's Parliament House demanding an end to the vaccine mandate among other demands in Canberra on Saturday.

The protesters marched through the streets holding signs and flags. One commented, "we've had enough of the governments telling us what to do, we've had enough government control ,we've had enough of all these mandates."

The protesters ended marching on Parliament House, causing nearby streets to shut down and the area to be monitored with drones and helicopters.

Currently, 54,4 percent of the Australian population are fully vaccinated, according to official statistics.

The demonstration was inspired by the Freedom Convoy movement in Canada, protesting vaccine mandates at the border with the United States.
