Olympic athletes are the 'most tested community in the world' International Olympic Commitee (IOC) spokesperson Mark Adams told reporters during a press conference on Sunday.

"The athletes in the village is the most tested community probably in the world, possibly ever. We hope that message is getting across and what I would also say it's not just the testing but it's also very high levels of vaccination," Adams said.

In Tokyo, some sports such as skateboarding are making their debut at the Olympic Games.

"They are seeing skateboarders as Olympians, skateboarding is reaching out to new audiences and the existing Olympic audiences, some of them may be seeing skateboarding for the first time," said Kit McConnell, the sports director of the IOC, speaking about the viewers.

The Olympic Games are set to continue until August 8.
