Description

A floating Emirati hospital began providing medical assistance for injured Gazans at the port of al-Arish in eastern Egypt, as footage released on Monday shows.

The hospital medical staff could be seen providing medical aid to Gazans who were wounded or suffering from disease.

"It was equipped with an array of the most cutting-edge and latest equipment in compliance with the highest global standards and protocols," Dr. Fallah al-Mahmoud, Director of the floating hospital.

He noted that the hospital features a helicopter pad and a marine boat to boost the response for emergency and critical medical cases.

The floating hospital is staffed by a team of 100 medical and administrative personnel and has a capacity of 100 beds, including surgery rooms, intensive care rooms, a radiology unit, a laboratory, a pharmacy and medical stores.

The hospital in Gaza is a further development of the UAE's 200-bed field hospital that was inaugurated on December 3, 2023, which has operated thousands of cases and is part of UAE's President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan 'Gallant Knight 3' initiative.
