    A curfew came into effect in Washington DC on Wednesday after supporters of US President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol.

    Police reported dozens of arrests for violating the order which was set to be in effect until 6 am local time on Thursday.

    DC Mayor Muriel Bowser announced the curfew after rioters entered the US Capitol building where lawmakers gathered to certify the victory of Joe Biden in the US presidential election.
