Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said Tehran was ready to resume talks on the JCPOA nuclear deal, in comments made at a joint press conference with Russia's top diplomat Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Wednesday.
"Regarding the continuation of the negotiations in Vienna - Mr. Lavrov and I had a relevant consultation. I would like to stress here that the government, together with his Excellency Mr [Ibrahim] Raisi, is a pragmatic government that is looking for results," he said.
Abdollahian stated that any potential return to the negotiating table must be met with reciprocity on the part of Iran's partners.
"Of course the opposing sides must also take a very serious decision. By doing so, they would show us their true intention of securing the rights and interests of the people of Iran as part of the nuclear deal," he stated.
