Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a tour of the Zvezda shipbuilding complex in the city of Bolshoy Kamen near Vladivostok on Wednesday.

During the tour, the head of Russian state oil company Rosneft Igor Sechin showed Putin and Modi some of the latest developments in the shipbuilding industry.

The Zvezda shipyard is set up on the base of the Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Centre by a consortium of Rosneft, Rosneftegaz and Gazprombank. The shipyard produces heavy tonnage ships, ice-class vessels and other marine equipment.

On Friday Putin and Modi are due to take part in the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
