Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh said there remained 'significant differences' between countries involved in the Vienna talks on the future of Iran's nuclear deal, during a press conference in Tehran on Monday.

Khatibzadeh spoke of Iran resorting to a "Plan B", in the case of a gridlock on diplomacy between the countries involved, adding "the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Plan B may not be very attractive to them. They have to do their best to show that they have the required determination and capacity for a Plan A." He also accused France and other European nations of being in a "violation" of "JCPOA and UN Security Council Resolution 2231."

Khatibzadeh also commented on the upcoming visit by Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, the Iranian President, to Moscow, Russia.

Talks have been ongoing to revive the Iran nuclear deal also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) which the Donald Trump administration left in 2018.
