China has decided not to hold a foreign ministers meeting with Japan on the fringes of ASEAN-related gatherings in Phnom Penh, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said in a press briefing in Beijing on Thursday.

Hua Chunying described it as fallout from US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Taiwan visit.

"China will no longer arrange for the Chinese and Japanese foreign ministers to meet in Phnom Penh. Japan bears the responsibility of historical crimes on the Taiwan issue and is not qualified to make irresponsible comments on Taiwan-related issues," Hua Chunying added.

"Japan should not blindly follow the United States to infringe upon China's sovereignty and territorial integrity," the politician stated.

Hua Chunying further accuses G7 nations for interfering China's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

"However, if they do not respect China's core forces at all and offend China's core interests on issues involving China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, I think such a wrong attitude cannot but affect the G7's cooperation with China in relevant important fields, or China’s relations with G7," Hua Chunying said.
