Description

Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on the possible prisoner exchange between Moscow and Kiev, speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on Thursday.

"Based on the considerations of humanity, we are approaching the finalisation of the negotiations [with Ukraine], including with the authorities, so I think that details will be known soon", said Putin.

The Russian leader added that the swap would be a "large-scale one, and this would be a good step towards the normalisation of our relations".

Putin also spoke about the possibility of Russia re-joining the G7, saying that Moscow didn't "refuse any format of cooperation".

The 5th Eastern Economic Forum runs between September 4-6 in Vladivostok.
