The Russian leader also lauded the Sino-Russian relations, noting the increase in bilateral trade.
“We have already broken the record levels of the pre-pandemic [period] 2019. In the near future, as agreed, we will overcome the $200 billion mark,” he said.
In his turn, Xi said he was looking forward to Putin’s Beijing visit, adding he is ready "to go forward with you hand in hand, together, to open a new page in China-Russia relations in the post-pandemic period."
