Hundreds of Muslims flocked to the Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar for prayers on Wednesday marking the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
"On this Eid al-Fitr the Muslim world should remember that our oppressed, people who are suffering, people who are without medical facilities," said one. "People in Palestine were suffering without food, the children were without food. We should unite, the Muslim world especially should unite and take a strong call against the forces that deprive the humanity."
Footage shows Muslims gathering at the Holy site and praying, with police officers also seen controlling the traffic. Locals are also seen collecting money in support of the people of Palestine.
"The day of celebration and we also give charity on this day," said another local, Abdul Rehman. "We prayed for the Almighty's blessings for every human being and safety to our women and of course for prosperity."
