Description

China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Geng Shuang called for a dialogue for the "denuclearisation and political settlement of the [Korean] peninsula," speaking during a press conference in Beijing on Friday.

Geng Shuang said that China does not have "specific information" about the suspected missiles that were launched by North Korea on Thursday, but said that he hopes "all parties can stick to the right direction of resolving the issue through dialogue."

It is the second time this week that North Korea tested what is suspected to be short-range ballistic missiles, that are reportedly capable of reaching South Korea and Japan.
