Description

Fifteen Armenian pilgrims visited the Dadivank monastery of the Armenian Apostolic Church accompanied by Russian peacekeepers in Azerbaijan's Kalbajar district on Sunday.

The monastery has been under Azerbaijani control since November 2020 after the Russian-brokered truce agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh came into effect.

Russian troops have safeguarded religious buildings in Karabakh, including the Dadivank monastery, within the framework of Moscow’s peacekeeping mission in the disputed region.
